Critically Align provides (online) yoga classes for private individuals.

For contact with customers of Critically Align, I register personal data of people who contact me via the Critically Align website or via email. This information is used to maintain contact about yoga classes, workshops and events and to inform about all kinds of developments, for example online classes, master classes, workshops, online yoga programs, live and online retreats organized by Critically Align.

In addition, some data (name and if applicable for a company function, organization) is used for attendance lists, registration lists for my online classes, master classes, workshops, online programs, live and online retreats and information meetings.

To this end, we register the following personal data:

other personal data that you actively provide in correspondence and telephone contact

We do not provide personal data to third parties, unless on an individual basis and with the explicit consent of the person concerned.

If you take lessons at Critically Align via the website, if you ask a question to Critically Align via the contact form on the website or if you subscribe to the newsletter via the website out of interest, Critically Align needs certain information and data from you. . About your privacy at Critically Align

Critically Align respects the privacy of all students and users of the website and ensures that the personal information provided is treated confidentially in accordance with the relevant GDPR legislation.

Below is explained how and why Critically Align uses your data and which data is used for this. This use is only done with your permission.

What data is collected by Critically Align

Critically Align processes personal data. According to the GDPR, personal data is “any data relating to an identified or identifiable natural person”. These are all data that can be traced back to your person.

Data from yoga students, trial students and those interested in yoga.

When you start following yoga classes at Critically Align, data is processed via the Critically Align website. This includes your name, address, place of residence, telephone number, your e-mail address and health details (if applicable via e-mail).

Data via forms on the website

By visiting the website, (personal) data is also processed. If you ask Critically Align a question via the forms on the website, you subscribe to the newsletter, or use the webshop, your name and e-mail address will be processed.

The information you provide via the registration form or the forms on the website is only accessible and transparent to the owner/teacher of Critically Align and is registered in locked documents and mailing lists. These are only accessible to the owner of the Critically Align.

Data from website visits: surfing and clicking behaviour

Critically Align collects information about visits to the Critically Align website. This primarily concerns data that your browser sends to every website you visit by default. Think of your IP address, which cannot be traced back to the identification of a person. This information is used to see which pages on the website are viewed and for how long.

Data from the digital newsletter: viewing and clicking behaviour

Several times a year Critically Align sends out a digital newsletter via the online program MailChimp.com. The statistics of this program provide insight into how often and by whom the newsletters are read, and which linked links are opened.

What are the personal data used for?

The collected data, and in particular name and email address, is used by Critically Align through a mailing list to notify students of yoga studio activities, announce changes, send invoices, communicate about exchanges from (catch up )classes.

Critically Align uses the Eversport.nl and from December 1st 2022 momoyoga.com program for invoicing, administration and booking of lessons. Your name and e-mail address are entered here in order to be able to take care of the invoicing by e-mail. Critically Align has concluded the processor agreement with Eversport.nl. It describes how Eversport.nl deals with security, data safety, confidentiality and data leaks.

In addition to the emails, Critically Align sends, Critically Align uses the MailChimp program to develop and send newsletters. Names and email addresses of students, former students, interested parties, and people who subscribe to the newsletter via the form on the website are added to this specific mailing list. You can unsubscribe from these newsletters at any time via the link at the bottom of the newsletters, or by indicating this to Critically Align. Your data will at all times be protected and treated confidentially in accordance with European legislation and the General Data Protection Regulation, drawn up by the Dutch Ministry of Justice and Security. The Critically Align website uses SSL certification. This checks whether the connection with your browser actually ends up on our website.

Retention period of your data

The period that Critically Align keeps your data depends on a number of criteria. They are kept:

for as long as you take classes at Critically Align;

as long as you are on the Critically Align newsletter mailing list.

You can unsubscribe yourself;

For two years after you have stopped the yoga classes, except for your name and e-mail address for the digital newsletter, unless you decide to unsubscribe yourself.

Your data will not be used for:

The address files of Critically Align, the website and the external services (MailChimp) do not use profiling or automated decision-making. This means that Critically Align will not use (or have used) your data to allow the mailings or website to respond differently based on your personal data.

Critically Align will not sell your personal information to third parties and will only make it available to third parties that are involved in carrying out the administration or processing the email newsletter.

Your rights under privacy legislation

You are not required to provide your personal information to Critically Align. Just understand that if you want to participate in the classes, Critically Align needs some minimum details to be in touch with you.

You have the right to inspect, correct and delete your data. A phone call or e-mail with your wish is enough to make use of this. You also always have the right to withdraw the given consent for specific processing of your data.

For example, that you want to receive regular e-mails, but not the digital newsletter.

Do you have a complaint about the processing of your data?

If you have a complaint about the processing of your personal data at Critically Align, please contact Critically Align. If we cannot reach a solution together, you can decide to file a complaint with the official privacy regulator, the Dutch Data Protection Authority. The Dutch Data Protection Authority supervises compliance with the legal rules for the protection of personal data and advises on new regulations.
